Bedford School, New Library

Neville Special Projects was the project to construct a vaulted, two storey library for the school in Bedford, awarded after a two-stage tender and interview, requiring six-month design development and cost agreement to cost plan prior to commencement.

Key input was required on engineering the brickwork in lime mortar, which was to be built through winter, along with the construction of a plaster barrel vaulted ceiling of differing diameters.

 

The project met its brief of inspiring design and execution.
