Neville Special Projects is pleased to confirm that demolition works are now complete on the refurbishment of the Monarch Aircraft Engineering Hangars at London Luton Airport (LLA), a key project supporting the airport’s continued operational growth and modernisation.
Hangar 9 - With M&E first fix and partitioning now underway, works to the roof and structural steels are complete. Delivered to a Category A standard, the hangar will be fitted out by the client following handover.
Hangar 60 - The steel portal frame has been repainted in goosewing grey, internal roof panel refurbishments are progressing, and blockwork is advancing across the production and engineering areas.
Hangar 127 - Currently serving as our site office and welfare hub, the hangar frame is being undercoated, and the refurbishment of the doors is well underway.
Comprehensive drainage clearance and repair works are also progressing across all hangars to ensure full operational readiness ahead of occupancy.
This complex refurbishment demonstrates Neville Special Projects' capability in delivering high-quality, large-scale aviation projects within live operational environments, underpinned by precision planning, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to safety and delivery excellence.
Our social value responsibilities remain strong. With the installation of two defibrillators and associated training for the team, along with the delivery of a programme of toolbox talks pertinent to the project to 139 contractors to date.
