This project was an extension and enabling works of the Translational Medicine Centre for the college.
Enabling works consisted of a reduced dig, installation and alteration of surface water drainage, alteration to street lighting and construction of a gabion retaining wall.
The new medical facility consisted of substantial foundations, a concrete framed building with masonry outer walls, part cedar cladding, and screening for mechanical plant on the roof. Also included was the installation of a substantial air handling and chilling plant on roof to service the area and MRI machine.
Internal works included a RF cage and MRI cell formation, an MRI control room, plant rooms, a surgical area, scrub in rooms, changing and toilet facilities.
Hermetically sealed doors and hygienic finishes were installed throughout.
