Client: Bletchley Park Trust
Duration: 46 weeks (26 + 20 weeks)
Working progressively through Block A and the Collections Wing, Neville Special Projects liaised closely with the conservationist to restore the 1940’s historic buildings to their
former glory. The project included bespoke lighting, polishing concrete floors, steel frame window repairs and decorations.
Careful demolition to preserve history of the building was essential - a hidden mural was exposed, and unknown structures and concealed pipework and drainage were discovered.
In order to provide an environmentally controlled environment for the storage of archives, two air handling units were introduced, along with specialist fire suppression systems to safeguard the artefacts.
