What you’ll do at work • Supporting painting and decorating works across a range of projects and client environments. • Learning and applying health and safety and environmental regulations, guidance notes, relevant codes of practice and site-specific requirements. • Supporting the preparation of work areas, including protection of surfaces, safe storage of materials and maintaining a tidy working environment. • Understanding and applying the principles of risk assessments and method statements, including Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH). • Working at height safely, including the correct use of platforms, steps, ladders and scaffolds. Identifying and applying safe use, storage and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, paint products, wallcoverings and spray equipment. • Preparing surfaces using appropriate methods, including abrasives, chemical etchants, power sanders, heat and liquid methods. • Learning and applying different application methods, including brush, roller, spray, power-assisted rollers and special effect tools. • Completing relevant paperwork accurately and on time, including job sheets and site documentation as required. • Attending college as part of the apprenticeship programme and completing all coursework, assignments and assessments within required timescales. • Supporting continuous improvement through learning, feedback and development throughout the apprenticeship.

What you'll do at work: • Supporting carpentry works across a range of projects and client environments. • Learning and applying health and safety and environmental regulations, guidance notes, relevant codes of practice and site-specific requirements. • Preparing and installing basic building components and erecting structural carpentry on a building site or in domestic and commercial premises. • Learning insulation installation and methods, plaster boarding and boxing, 2nd fix carpentry, cabinetry fitting. • Understanding and applying the principles of risk assessments and method statements, including Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH). • Working at height safely, including the correct use of platforms, steps, ladders and scaffolds. • Identifying and applying safe use, storage and maintenance of hand tools, power tools and other equipment. • Completing relevant paperwork accurately and on time, including job sheets and site documentation as required. • Attending college as part of the apprenticeship programme and completing all coursework, assignments and assessments within required timescales. • Supporting continuous improvement through learning, feedback and development throughout the apprenticeship.

What you’ll do at work: • Assisting in supervising sub contractors and day to day site activities. • Learning and applying health and safety and environmental regulations, guidance notes, relevant codes of practice and site-specific requirements. • Monitoring project progress, quality standards and compliance to necessary regulation. • Understanding and applying the principles of risk assessments and method statements, including Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH). • Assisting in tracking budgets and procurement and maintaining necessary standards. • Completing relevant paperwork accurately and on time, including job sheets and site documentation as required. • Attending college as part of the apprenticeship programme and completing all coursework, assignments and assessments within required timescales. • Supporting continuous improvement through learning, feedback and development throughout the apprenticeship.
